We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Computer & Electronics Repair Technician to join our retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing computers, cell phones, tablets, and gaming consoles, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues on desktop and laptop computers.
- Perform repairs on mobile devices including screen replacements, battery swaps, charging ports, and other component-level issues.
- Service gaming consoles (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo) including hardware and software repairs.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security software.
- Provide in-store technical support and advice to customers on product care, upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
- Manage inventory of replacement parts, tools, and repair supplies.
- Ensure work areas, tools, and customer devices are handled with care and kept secure.
- Support sales team with technical knowledge when customers are considering new purchases.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Computer Technician or similar role.
- Hands-on experience repairing cell phones (hardware and software).
- Familiarity with diagnosing and repairing gaming consoles.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- (CompTIA A+, Apple, or other electronics certifications) are a plus.
